We have purchased a brand new commercial playground which will be built in the open space next to our pool, because it will be too large for where the existing playground is.  Hopefully we will be able to refurbish the old playground so that we will have 2 play areas. 

In the meantime, please do not use our old playground until it has been refurbished.

Playground Rules & Regulations

1. Play at your own risk.
2. This Playground is for elementary age children ONLY.
3. Open from dawn to dusk.
4. No loitering in the playground area.
5. Equipment should not be used when it's wet, as doing so can lead to slips and falls.
6. Always sit in the swing; don't stand or kneel. Hold on tightly with both hands. Stop the swing completely before getting off. 
7. No jumping out of swings, no twisting or swinging sideways. 
8. Stay a safe distance from other children on swings, being careful not to run or walk in front or in back of moving swings. 
9. When using the slide, go down one at a time in the sitting position, feet forward. Wait until the person starts down the slide before climbing the ladder. 
10. No glass bottles, food or gum allowed.
11. No alchoholic beverages are permitted.
12. Plastic water bottles are permitted
13. No horse play allowed.
14. Don't wear clothes with drawstrings at the playground. They can get caught on equipment and pose a strangulation hazard. 
15. If you notice broken equipment, Please report it to a member of the HOA.
16. This is NOT a public playground and is for the sole use of The Parks at Durham Lake residents and their guests.
